Zitter speelde contrabas, g'dulka
(Bulgaarse vedel) en zong in orkest
Narod vanaf 1980. Dit orkest trad vooral
op bij volksdansverenigingen en
begeleidde volksdans
demonstratiegroepen. In het seizoen
85-86 werkte zij als zangeres bij het
toenmalig Internationaal Folkloristisch
Danstheater. Sinds 1986 zingt zij, met
een onderbreking van vier jaar, bij
orkest Zadar. Gedurende deze jaren
verzorgde zij cursussen en workshops op
het gebied van Balkanzang. Chris
studeerde schoolmuziek en is ruim 13
jaar werkzaam geweest als muziekdocent
in het voortgezet onderwijs.<br>

zingen we volksliedjes uit Oost- en Zuidoost-Europa. </font></p>
<p class="western" style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm; LINE-HEIGHT:
12pt"><font size="4" color="#00000a">We starten in
Moldavië en eindigen in Griekenland. De thema’s zijn
universeel: liefde, heimwee, oorlog en vrede, feest en
natuurlijk de geneugten van drank. We zingen al het
repertoire in eerste instantie eenstemmig, zodat je het
origineel leert kennen. We zingen ook meerstemmige
versies die je met een koor zou kunnen uitvoeren. <br>
<br>
We werken met bladmuziek maar het is geen probleem als
je geen noten kunt lezen want alles wordt voorgezongen.
Het maakt ook niet uit welk stemtype je hebt. Je kunt
ter plekke bepalen met welke stemgroep je meezingt. </font></p>
